Château Lalande

Terroir Château Lalande is located in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, on the edge of a large wine road that runs along the Gironde estuary, near the castles of Talbot and Lagrange. Its vineyard of 15.5 hectares in one piece, situated on a gravelly plateau planted with noble grape varieties that have been carefully selected, produces an elegant wine of great finesse. The average age of the vineyard is about thirty years, the encépagement is 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot. Production is about 140 barrels. Harvesting is both mechanical and manual. Vineyard management is by package. Vinification is thermally controlled, aging is 12 months in 35% new barrels.
