WINE RHONE VALLEY

Ventoux 2019 Comte Louis de Clermont Tonnerre

The fields are cultivated traditionally. Our Ventoux is made with a selection of old vines - Syrah5% - Grenache 95% (over 70 years old). Mechanical harvest. Each cuvee is vinified on its own and blending is done after tank fermentation. - complete de-stemming.

Maceration at 20° for 10 days.

Sulphites are added at the time of bottling.

Bottling is carried out by a company specialising in bottling before bottling.

Light filtration on 'terres blanches'. After bottling, the bottles are kept upright for 5 minutes to ensure that the cork is carefully inserted into the bottle. The bottles are then filled into stainless steel racks (containing 600 bottles). They will remain in these boxes until the time of labelling. Labelling is carried out by machine at low speed.

CLERMONT TONNERRE VENTOUX is our top cuvee we produce 22000 BOTTLES aging potential is great: Up to 8 years serve at 18°C when youd and when older at 20°C.

TASTING NOTE: On the nose the wine is rich with lots of expression. Blackcurrant, rapsberry, soft spices

On the palate, no aggressiveness but soft texture. A nice long finish on blackcurrant states VENTOUX probably the best Rhone value today. Perfect as a Pre diner drink and over any type of Provence food to serve over game, Lamb and all soft cheeses
