Comte Louis de Clermont Tonnerre - VACQUEYRAS Vallée du Rhône - Rhône Valley Wine
Vineyards: 70% Grenache; 30% Syrah-Mourvèdre
Vinification: : Traditional, long vating for about 15 days with temperature control of 28° to 30°C, partial destemming, no base.
Aging: For 18 months before bottling. No oak. The wine is left to rest for several months before release.
Tasting: Beautiful garnet red colour, clear. Strong nose, hints of spice and black fruit. 2014 Vintage opens now to pepper, licorice, anise and thyme notes. Good structure. Long finish. Decanting is recommended.
Food paring: best served over any red and white meats and cheeses. Of course, all Provence dishes will be a must.
Service.
Cellaring: 6 years after bottling - drink 2014 to 2022.
