CASABLANCA VALLEY: An area located between

Coast Range and the Pacific Ocean. It has a unique microclimate with a cool sea breeze that extends the ripening time of the grapes. The result is a perfect balance of sugars and acidity. The Casablanca Valley is recognised as a premium quality Chilean wine region with a cool climate.

Variety: 100% Syrah

Origin: Casablanca Valley

Vinification: This wine is the result of different Syrah batches vinified in small tanks. The first step before fermentation was an average 7 day maceration at 8ºC. This was followed by alcoholic fermentation for 10 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 28 to 30°C. After fermentation and before racking, the wine underwent a 7-day skin maceration. 60% of the wine was aged for 11 months in French and American oak barrels. The other 40% was kept in stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the two components were combined and stored for several months in tanks.

Aroma: A good union of rich ripe varietal fruit with hints of blackcurrant cassis liqueur and red fruits with an elegant touch of oak.

Colour: Dark purple-red.

Taste: Delicate varietal flavours of ripe plums and red berries with added complexity of aged oak. Well balanced, soft flavour with firm tannins and a long finish.

Ageing: Although the wine is drinkable with its perfect balance, closer ageing would lead to a more complex wine.

Alcohol: 13.5%
