About Villa Lorane.

Just a few kilometres from the Loire River, amidst the vines, is Villa Lorane - a beautiful building made of tufa stone, a local dazzling white stone, and with a blue slate roof. It attracts its visitors with its bucolic garden and variety of roses. People can enjoy the glorious and sweet life that the province of Anjou has to offer. The flavours are delicate, fresh, rich and fruity. These are excellent wines that bring great enjoyment.

Gamay, Grolleau, Cabernet franc.

Vine age : 30 years (average)

Vineyard area : 9 hectares

Soil: From selected plots with soil made up of clay and shale. The berries are regularly tasted to obtain optimum ripeness. Precise winemaking reveals the qualities of the variety, i.e. a beautiful, pale colour and an intense, complex bouquet combining varietal aromas (citrus) with aromas produced by fermentation (amyl, sweetness, strawberry).

Tasting notes : Attractive dazzling pink colour with red highlights. Concentrated bouquet with a remarkable range of aromas: yellow peach, pineapple, fresh grapes, strawberry and candy. Black pepper is also an additional ingredient. Plump, velvety and perfectly balanced. On the palate, the wine is crisp and smooth with distinctive flavours of strawberry and raspberry. Long and delicious aftertaste.

Pairing : For summer dishes: deli meats, sweet and savoury starters (cheese and grapes, devils on horseback, etc.) and grilled meats.

Desserts : Pairs very well with strawberries, red fruit sorbets, and fruit salads. All year round: egg crab rolls and oriental cuisine. Also: fresh cheese and blue cheese. Enjoy well chilled (10-12°C).
